Heart Update

Yesterday we went to the Cardiac Spacialist and had an echo done, which took some time because Becca's heart has repositioned itself more on the left side since her left lung has been removed. It showed that her vsd is still tiny but that she has an aortic valve leak. They seemed concerned with Pulmonary hypertension which I was told that will occurr but they could not say "when". They said when that does occur it will back up blood into her right ventricle of her heart which there was no sign of yet. Her heart looks stable at this point. We go to see the Pulmonary Specialist next month so we will know more then. Hypertension will happen due to the fact that we are expecting her one lung to do the work of two lungs. Just another bump in the long winding road.

Wow ~ Giants took it!!

Rebecca and I went to Tampa to watch the Superbowl and could not believe the Giants took it. It was a great game, Manning really brought it in the end. Still my heart wept for the Pats, for they won every game this season except the one that "counted" ~ go figure. We are back home and Becca is back to school, and so am I. Having trouble concentrating on my studies for the past couple weeks so today I am getting ready to cram for that exam and start that essay. Rebecca is doing really well at her new school. It is so much easier than the other. She is not acting out about doing her homework, and there isn't as much stress and pressure on her. She has been much happier since starting this school. We are getting ready to see her cardiac specialists in a couple weeks...and dentist...so the less stress the better right now.
